The creator of Mega Man, Onimusha, and Dead Rising is now making a Ninja Gaiden game in collaboration with Team Ninja. Let that out of left field bit of info sink in for a while. Announced at this years Tokyo Game Show, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z will be a joint effort between Team Ninja, Spark, and Comcept. No platforms were announced but it looks like a current generation title, cel shaded and bloody. The game is a spin off of the main Ninja Gaiden series, which is actually pretty redundant when the name of your series is already Ninja Side Story. Instead of playing as series protagonist Ryu Hyubusa, you take the role of one of the many slain Ninjas from Ryu’s past who is brought back to life 6 million dollar man style. The Z stands for Zombies as the main foe you will be slicing up in your main path to kill Ryu is the undead. If you still think I am making all this up, and believe me, it probably sounds like it.
